Our Story

In 2001, Aamer Sheikh and Shakeel Shaikh became part of the IAM Union and stepped into the heart of the Black Car industry. Through their active involvement in the union, they connected with countless drivers and operators, many of whom were struggling with serious challenges—from complicated insurance requirements to a lack of reliable services tailored to their needs.

Seeing these difficulties firsthand left a deep impression on Aamer and Shakeel. They recognized that drivers and business owners in the black car community needed trustworthy advocates who could guide them through the often confusing world of insurance and related services. Instead of standing by, they decided to act.

Driven by a commitment to support their peers and uplift the community they were a part of, Aamer and Shakeel pursued their insurance broker licenses. Their mission was clear: to provide honest, transparent, and reliable insurance solutions that addressed the unique concerns of black car professionals.

What began as a response to the struggles of their fellow drivers has since grown into a dedicated brokerage service, built on trust, experience, and community values. Today, Aamer and Shakeel continue to stand by the industry, offering not just insurance, but also guidance, advocacy, and peace of mind to every client they serve.

Aamer Shaikh

Founder & President

Aamer Shaikh began his professional journey in the transportation industry in 1998 as a limousine driver. Immersed in the challenges of the Black Car industry, he quickly built connections with fellow drivers and, by 2001, became an active member of the union. There he witnessed firsthand the difficulties drivers faced with insurance, compliance, and a lack of trustworthy services.

Determined to create a solution, Aamer pursued his insurance-broker license and in 2003 founded Freedomline Brokerage. With a BBA degree, he combined academic foundation with real-world experience to build a brokerage focused on integrity, transparency, and community service. Today, as Founder & President, Aamer leads Freedomline Brokerage with a vision rooted in advocacy for drivers and the broader transportation community.

Shakeel Shaikh

Co-Founder & Community Advocate

Alongside Aamer, Shakeel Shaikh has been instrumental in shaping Freedomline Brokerage’s commitment to service. His involvement in the Black Car industry and the union since 2001 gave him deep insight into the unique challenges drivers face. Shakeel is also active in philanthropic work, focusing on helping children deprived of education and supporting orphanages. Through his efforts he provides access to private-school education, helping underprivileged children build stronger futures. His dual commitment — supporting the driver community and giving back through social-impact initiatives — embodies the core values on which Freedomline Brokerage was built: service, compassion, and empowerment.
